MedAxiom creates a sense of community within our member practices by providing a truly peer-to-peer network. This network allows our members to learn from one another and exchange information about important decisions the practices face every day. MedAxiom facilitates numerous listservs (CEO, IT, Coding Managers, Lead Physician, etc.) that allow real-time interaction between the leaders and staff of these practices. MedAxiom also conducts educational webinars, both operational and clinical, on a variety of timely topics.
Live interaction amongst members is where we see the most impact on our membership and their respective practices. It is here relationships are cemented and long-lasting business improvement teams are developed.
MedAxiom conducts an annual Spring Conference, Fall Conference and EMR/IT Conference. The spring and fall conferences are available to our members only while the EMR/IT Conference is considered an open conference to members and non-members. The conferences tend to attract a mix of cardiology practice attendees with approximately 75% of current attendees being CEO’s and other high-level administrators, and the other 25% being cardiologists.
These conferences keep our members informed of changing trends, technologies, strategies and best practices in cardiology-practice administration and service delivery. These meetings allow experts, member practices and industry partners to come together to achieve truly extraordinary results for practice optimization. The conferences consist of both large-group presentations including all members and breakout sessions for small-group discussions on more specific issues.
The conferences also provide an opportunity for non-competing practices (called “Pods”) to communicate with each other on a more intimate level. Our members experience unique value in MedAxiom’s small-group discussions and find that they truly distinguish MedAxiom as a network rather than just another organization. Our conferences make you feel like you’re joining a family instead of getting lost in the crowd, as many members find is the case at other national conferences.
