Margie Amato selected to the CCHIT Cardiovascular Medicine Work Group

NEPTUNE BECH, FL – June 16, 2009 – MedAxiom announced the appointment of Margie Amato, MBA, RHIA, ACS-CA, to the Certification Commission for Healthcare Information Technology (CCHIT) Cardiovascular Medicine Work Group. The work group is comprised of volunteers who contribute their time and energy to help guide the development of criteria, in hopes of improving healthcare technology in the United States.

The Certification Commission is a recognized certification body for electronic health records and their networks, and a private, nonprofit initiative. Their mission is to accelerate the adoption of robust, interoperable health information technology by creating a credible, efficient certification process.

“As the Director for our Business Office and Coding Network (BOCN), Margie exemplifies the approach taken at MedAxiom and across our management team and staff members toward contributing to the field in which we work in a way that will allow progress to be made on all fronts,” says Pat White, president of MedAxiom. “Margie is a good addition to this work group, she will provide a fresh perspective and work hard to provide expertise where it is needed.”
