MedTalent - Premier Training in Medical Leadership

MedTalent is the premier method of training your physicians and administrators in medical leadership. The MedTalent program is designed for leaders in both the practice and hospital environments to foster and enhance their ability to lead a service line, develop employees, and build the business of medicine to be profitable and impactful on the health of the community it serves. Courses are provided via in person and web-based formats. Classes typically consist of individuals from multiple institutions but can be tailored to and delivered at your institution of choice should sufficient enrollment warrant such. This can help to keep costs to a minimum when training a large number of staff.

Although it is common to customize a course for a particular hospital or health system, the standard courses are described below.


Standard Courses:
MEDICAL DIRECTOR COLLEGE
Provides an overview of what it takes to be a truly effective and influential Medical Director and offers deeper content areas such as the roles and responsibilities of a medical director, the role of the physician-administrator dyad relationship, leadership, governance (general organization, hospital structures, service line structures and practice governance), communication and difficult conversations, management development, team building and more.
PHYSICIAN / ADMINISTRATOR
DYAD TRAINING
Explores the roles and responsibilities of the physician and hospital administrator dyad relationship, both in theory and application.
CARDIOVASCULAR SERVICE LINE LEADERSHIP / TRANSFORMATIONAL HEALTHCARE LEADERSHIP
This course contains a selection of the information found in the Medical Director College course and expands by exploring the issues and answers of transformation. The additional focus of this course is what transformation really is and what does it look like in healthcare, why and when we need transformation, what we are trying to achieve in transforming health care, the current industry structure versus a transformed structure, and the current hospital organization versus a transformed hospital organization.
PROVIDING LEADERSHIP IN A CLINICAL ENVIRONMENT
This course is often focused on medical schools and includes basic instruction on leadership, providing leadership in a non-leader role, leadership versus management, the business of medicine, building a team and being a good team member, healthcare industry basics, and why the healthcare industry needs leadership as a core competency.
SUIT BOOT-CAMP / PHYSICIAN ENGAGEMENT FOR HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATORS
A view into how physicians think, what is important to physicians, the goal of the hospital administrator in relation to achieving physician engagement, benefits of successful engagement and other issues pertaining to physician engagement.
PHYSICIAN CHARM SCHOOL
