MEDSATISFACTION - SURVEYS FOR PRACTICE IMPROVEMENT

MedAxiom has created a suite of satisfaction surveys, specifically tailored to cardiology, to help you track and improve the satisfaction of your patients, referring physicians, employees and internal physicians. Our surveys are designed to provide you with not just a number, but with the information you need to actually improve your practice in the eyes of your most valued customers and contributors.

Similar to other survey services, you will receive a report that includes all of your practice’s results, in a variety of graphic formats. Additionally, your data will be available for internal and external benchmarking in our MedAxcess database. With just a few clicks of the mouse, you can compare your satisfaction data with that of your peers across the country, as well as compare your own physicians and locations to each other. A new tab for Satisfaction data will allow you to view these data in the same format that you are familiar with, as well as, to compare your satisfaction data to the general ledger data, already in MedAxcess. This provides you with a unique resource for managing your practice from different angles, all within the same trusted tool.

All participating practices will receive an individualized report of their results, including graphic displays of data, summaries of particularly high or low-scoring areas, and suggestions for improvements.

Patient Satisfaction Survey

Word-of-mouth and customer referrals are two very important marketing strategies in today’s tough economy. In order to succeed in these areas, satisfied patients are a necessity. Our patient satisfaction surveys will allow you to assess the true level of your patients’ satisfaction with the various services and areas of your practice. Our survey breaks down the patient experience into categories (such as scheduling, testing, nurse phone management, etc.) to allow you to pinpoint the specific areas of your practice that are functioning well and those that could use improvement.

Our surveys’ unique design that features optional questions, which individual practices can choose to include or not include on their surveys, allows for customization, while still ensuring a strong foundation of questions for benchmarking. The optional questions enable practices to obtain more detailed information in the areas they need or want it, but not in the areas that they do not. This customization allows practices to gather more detailed information to support their practice management systems, in addition to the commonly recognized benefits of surveying the satisfaction of your customers.

All satisfaction survey data will be housed in our MedAxcess database, allowing participating practices to externally and internally benchmark their data.

Referring Physician Satisfaction Survey

As a primarily referral based specialty, the satisfaction of referring physicians is of the utmost importance in cardiology. Our web-based survey provides a fairly quick and easy methodology for obtaining information as to the satisfaction of your referring physicians with different areas and services your practice offers.

Physician Satisfaction Survey

As practices continue to grow through mergers and acquisitions, physician satisfaction with their own practice becomes more variable. Internal discord between “new” and “old” physicians in the same group has become a growing trend, as well. This conflict amongst stated “partners” can truly cripple an organization. Our physician satisfaction survey allows practices to assess these issues in various aspects of the practice via our anonymous, web-based survey tool.

Using the MedAxcess database, satisfaction data can be compared to the General Ledger data already in the database.

Employee Satisfaction Survey

It is often difficult to create the “want to” (rather than the “have to”) in our employees. This is termed “discretionary effort™,” and is defined as the “difference in the level of effort one is capable of bringing to an activity or task, and the effort required only to get by or make do.” Employees’ use of discretionary effort™ has a direct correlation to their satisfaction with their job. Researchers estimate that if employers can motivate their employees to use discretionary effort™ they could boost performance by 20%-50%, with some estimates reaching up to 100%. Can you imagine your employees improving their performance by 20%-50%? The MedSatisfaction employee satisfaction survey will provide you with the information you need to pinpoint which areas you need to improve upon, from the perspective of your employees.

Our surveys are offered individually or as a complete suite via yearly subscription on a per provider cost. For more information, please contact Denise Brown at dbrown@medaxiom.com or 904.372.2993.
