Fall 2011 Hospital Integration Survey
Twice a year MedAxiom surveys our members to find out where practices stand on Hospital Integration. As more groups are moving in the direction of integrating with their hospital or health system, MedAxiom wanted to gather data on the current trends in this area. Are more groups integrating, why are they integrating, how long is it taking, how is the deal arranged, etc.? The Fall 2011 Hospital Integration Survey Results are now available.
A total of 144 practices responded to this survey representing a wide range of MedAxiom practices. In this report, you will find very helpful information, including survey respondents' demographics (such as size of practice and market area served), as well as data on the four stages that were surveyed:
- Full Integration
- Currently Considering Integration
- Not Currently Considering Integration
- Never Considering Integration
The report is available in a beautifully produced book for only $150 for the first copy, $25 for each additional copy plus shipping.

2011 On-Call and Medical Directorship Survey
Earlier in 2011, MedAxiom surveyed our members on the topic of compensation – both for On-Call services and Medical Directorships. Both of these are hot topics on the MedAxiom listserv as practices want more information regarding pay amounts, pay schedules, and services provided.
The report is available in a beautifully produced book for only $150 for the first copy, $25 for each additional copy plus shipping.

2011 Quality Metrics Survey
As many groups are integrating or establishing a service line co-management agreement, we have seen that many of these deals involve some mutually agreed upon set of metrics that drive many things such as compensation pools and bonuses. They are also a larger part of working with the hospital to improve quality, services, and cost. Earlier in 2011, a survey was sent out to MedAxiom practices to get examples of these metrics and to find out how they are being used.
